State target round change
This past year at the board meeting, it was brought up to speed up the target round. It was decided to change the shooting format of the arrows and not change the rounds themselves.
The change will occur this year at State Target and will go as follows:
· the archer will shoot 6 arrows at a time within a 4 minute time limit
· the archer will rotate shooting first or second following the A & B line indicator
o the archer shall determine whether he / she is on the A or B line at their assigned target on Saturday morning by discussing it with the other archers on his / her target butt
o there will NOT be an A or B line assignment given with the target assignments
· the archer will have an option for the type of target shot at 35 YDS. ON SATURDAY ONLY
o all of the archers on the target must agree to one of the following for the 35 YD. distance
§ continue to use the 80 cm target face (scoring rings from 10-1) with all archers shooting 6 arrows at each end
§ chose to use 2 smaller 80 cm target faces (scoring rings from 10 – 6) with all archers shooting 6 arrows at each end
